In an easy and comfortable way, the AMS amplifier systems of BMC Messsysteme GmbH can be equipped with different plug-in cassettes AMS-K-xxx, carrying 5B compatible measuring modules.
AMS devices are available in two sizes, as a mobile tabletop unit in 42TE format (AMS42, AMS42-LAN, AMS42-USB) or as a stationary rack system in 84TE format (AMS84, AMS84-LAN, AMS84-USB). Accordingly the 42TE version features eight slots for the plug-in cassettes, the 84TE version sixteen. This number can be extended optionally (AMS-EXT8) to 16 or 32 slots.
The cassette are provided with different sockets allowing for the comfortable connection of sensors.

The 5B modules are installed on the assigned position the cassette and screwed to the bracket. Via the small bore holes at the relevant position on the bracket the potentiometers of the 5B modules still can be reached for calibration even after being mounted into the AMS device.

The cassettes equipped with different 5B modules can be installed in any combination. Thus the AMS amplifier system is perfectly adjustable to the individual requirements of the measuring task.

The individual cassettes are plugged onto the AMS carrier board with their bracket screwed tightly to the AMS housing. Unneeded slots are bridged by a blank bracket.
