MA-DFI is a universal electrically isolating filter module for the filtering of analog signals. It is especially suitable as antializing filter for preventing sampling errors. The filter characteristic curve corresponds to a flat Butterworth characteristic with a rate of approximately 60dB/oct. Input signals up to a maximum of ±50V can be processed. The input amplifier provides for 4 voltage and 2 current measuring ranges. When changing the range of amplification, the module must be recalibrated if necessary. The module has 2 switchable filter cut-off frequencies. These can be smoothly adjusted by means of potentiometers. In addition, unregulated ±12V and regulated +5V supply voltages,
but without overload protection, or a 4mA power source for the supply
of active sensors is provided. As reference for the ±EX voltages,
an additional 0EX pin was defined, which can be removed if necessary. The module contains the following functional groups:
